Products: The scope of works included for the design, supply and installation of the Rainscreen system to the stair towers and raking feature ‘chevron’ panels to the general perimeter of the car park. The rainscreen system utilised were Ash & Lacy’s Ashtech rainscreen system that as part of our existing supply chain were able to manufacture the complex panel formations. Due to the design requirements every panel had to be designed and produced individually. The material specified for the rainscreen was the durable and low maintenance 4.0mm Aluminium Composite Material to the roof of the stair cores an insulated PVC single ply membrane system was installed. Gable UK Ltd incorporated within the package the Schuco FW50+ curtain walling to the Stair Cores and also the secondary steelwork supporting the chevron rainscreen system.

As with Birmingham we opted for the Ash & Lacy Ashtech rainscreen system. To the roof of the stair cores an insulated PVC single ply membrane system was installed onto the existing concrete deck with polyester powder coated parapets to the perimeter. Gable UK Ltd incorporated within the package the Schuco FW50+ curtain walling to the Stair Cores and also the secondary steelwork supporting the feature fins rainscreen system. Also installed were 50 x 50 hot dipped galvanised steel wire mesh panels.

The project is a high quality contemporary headquarters office building situated on the M4 corridor. The design of the building included nine levels including a ground floor entrance, basement car park and seven storeys of office accommodation. The scope of our works in-cluded the rainscreen system to the external envelope, feature louvres to the stair cores and the aluminium soffits to the projecting building.
The project was completed in the summer of 2009, on time and within the original tender sum. This was helped by the close working relationship we had with Volker Fitzpatrick who were the Principle Contractor.
This attractive complex is a showcase example of our expertise in the design and installa-tion of rainscreen wall systems.
The specified system was the Euroclad Linear 1 which was formed from 4mm thick alumin-ium composite material with a striking Duo tone Green / Blue finish. This system is also sustainably credible with proven routes for recycling and disposal.
